To Create an Announcement

Note: Announcements are Scope specific, therefore ensure that the relevant scopes are visible before you create an announcement.

Follow these steps to create an Announcements card, in ALIM Web.

  1. From the Menu Bar, select the System Settings icon ( ), and then select Announcements setup. The Announcements page appears.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Select the appropriate Type from the list. Your choices are: Red, Green, or Blue.
  4. Enter a Title for the announcement.
    Note: Although you can enter a lengthy title, only the first 40 characters appear on an announcement card, when published.
  5. Enter the Valid from and Valid to dates, for the announcement.
  6. Enter the Message, for the announcement.
    Tip: You can include hyperlinks within the content of your message. For more information, see To Add a Hyperlink to an Announcement.
  7. When finished, click Save. The announcement is created and will be visible on the Announcements card for the duration of the Valid from to Valid to dates.
    Important: If you click Save more than once, a duplicate announcement will be created.
  8. You can refresh the Home page by clicking the Home icon ( ). All current announcements appear on the Announcements card, in the Content pane.
